Our Outreach Ministries
South Suburban PADS
Since it’s opening over 27 years ago, SSPADS (South Suburban Public Action to Deliver Shelter) has served more than 17,000 men, women and children and provided more than 500,000 shelter nights.
Rich Township Food Pantry
“The Pantry” of Rich Township is a not-for-profit organization that provides food at no cost to about 1000 low-income families who reside in the 10 surrounding communities of Rich Township. All monetary donations are allocated to purchasing food to replenish the pantry shelves. For every dollar donated four (4) meals will be purchased. Holy Family regularly donates food to the pantry.
Friends of Southeast Mexico
The Diocese of Chicago formed a companion relationship with the Diocese of Southeast Mexico in 2001 for five years, and twice renewed the relationship at the 2006 and 2011 Annual Conventions. Church of the Holy Family is proud to be one of its sister parishes. We regularly hold fundraisers to raise money in support of the Diocese of Southeast Mexico.
CROP Hunger Walk
CROP Hunger Walks are community-wide events sponsored by Church World Service and organized by local congregations or groups to raise funds to end hunger at home and around the world. Church of the Holy Family raises money and walks in the south suburbs yearly in support of this event.
